Governor Makinde is no doubt an achiever, his populist style of governance and passion for the advancement of the state earn him the trust and massive support against his main challengers during the election.
The expectation is very high and below are some of what many people of Oyo state are expecting from the governor.
1 Complete All the Ongoing road projects and flag off new ones across the state.
2. Empower local government to function effectively and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroot
3. Complete the reconstruction of the primary health centres in some of the wards that are yet to have and upgrade more state owned hospital for solid health care delivery.
4 .Approve and enthrone new kings for Oyo, Ogbomoso, Iseyin and other town and present staff of office to the deserving ones among the king in the state
5. Ensure the approval of Isese day for the traditional worshipers and give them due recognition.
6. Ensure take off of LAUTECH Iseyin campus, Oyo State University of education, Oyo and give utmost attention to all state owned tertiary institutions.
7 Patronize local contractors to enhance spread of wealth and growth of businesses
8 Initiate, Develop and Promote program that will enhance creativity and wealth creation and reduce unemployment rate in the state
9. improve on Agricultural policy of the governor and embark on result oriented drive in the sector so as to boost food and crop production and encourage local farmers
10: Make Oyo state a preferred tourism destination by creating an enabling environment that will encourage domestic tourism to thrive and generate revenue
11. Improve on the security architecture of the state and designs means of curbing hooliganism armed robbery, thuggery and other menace that are inimical to the society
12. Groom and hand over to a worthy and reliable successor in 2027 for continuity of the lofty ideas and governance style.
