Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved the employment of 267 healthcare professionals to strengthen the state’s health sector.

Among the newly recruited personnel are 140 “Buni Scholars” who recently graduated from various medical fields in India under the state’s sponsorship program. The graduates include 43 BSc Nursing, 43 BSc Pharmacy, 22 BSc Medical Laboratory Science, 24 BSc Radiology, seven BSc Optometry, and one BSc Public Health degree holders.

In addition, Governor Buni has also approved the employment of 127 health technicians who have been serving as volunteers in healthcare institutions across the state.

The recruitment drive aligns with the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services and addressing the shortage of medical professionals in Yobe State.
