The Director-General of the Tinubu-Shettima Progressive Grassroots Mobilization (TSPGM), Hon. Princess Kikelomo Ikuomola, has issued a clarion call to young Nigerians, especially those engaging with or supporting the newly formed African Democratic Congress (ADC) party, to demand meaningful representation and reject tokenism in politics.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Ikuomola emphasized the need for Nigerian youths to be at the center of any serious political movement, rather than being relegated to the sidelines or offered symbolic roles with no real influence.
“This is not the time to blindly follow old models,” she declared. “The era of recycling the same political ideas and leadership without progress must end—and you are the change.”
Princess Ikuomola commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his inclusive approach to governance, noting that the President has made deliberate efforts to appoint young Nigerians into key leadership and decision-making roles.
“Whether you agree with his politics or not, President Tinubu is demonstrating a willingness to empower the youth—something new platforms and coalitions cannot afford to overlook,” she stated.
The TSPGM DG urged youth across the country to recognize and seize opportunities where they are truly valued, stressing the importance of strategic involvement and active participation.
“If you’re forming or supporting a new political movement, you cannot afford to ignore or marginalize young Nigerians. Any serious effort to reshape this country must place youth at the center,” she said.
She concluded by encouraging young people to “refuse to settle for less” and “stick with the leader who’s fixing the economy and giving young people a real voice.”
