Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has felicitated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr Mohood Lekan Balogun, on his 81st birthday.
The governor, who described the monarch as a great royal father and beacon of hope for the continued prosperity of Ibadanland, prayed to God to grant him more years on the throne of his forbears.
Governor Makinde, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Olubadan Balogun’s reign has coincided with the era of great transformations and massive developments being brought to bear on the state by his administration.
“I congratulate our father, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, on the occasion of his 81st birthday.
“Your Imperial Majesty, your reign has ushered in tremendous developments.
“Kabiyesi, we celebrate your eventful life and pray to God to grant you good health and more years on the throne of your forbears.”
