Yoruba Youth Council YYC has condemn the quit notice order given to the Igbos by the Coalition of Northern Youths (CNY) and other groups in the North saying it is capable of provoking National chaos across the Nation.
It also called on Federal Government to urgently organize a referendum on the federated state of Nigeria to put end to the increasing agitation for secession amongst tribes in the country.
According to a press statement signed by Comrade Eric Oluwole ,National President and Comrade Dare Oladeinde National Publicity Secretary “Nigeria is a country with different Nationalities where citizens are free to live, trade and work in any parts within her boundaries, so it becomes a terrorism act for a tribe calling on others to vacate their region”.
“It is not an amazing acts by the northerners who always chants and fan national instability whenever southerners are in the helm of affairs. we considered this an attempt by the northerners to distract the present Acting President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo with their national disintegration calls as it was done against the Jonathan’s administration with boko haram menace now coming with disintegration campagn “
“ The innocence of the northern leaders on the quit notice order must be proved as the notice was issued from their Arewa House, a center synonymous with northern decisions”.
“We however call on Nigerians not to disregard the threat by the (Coalition of northern youths), but always be cautious and vigilant in their dealings with their northern neighbors, while calling on the security agents to unravel the misery behind the omen”
