Seyi Makinde Urges Super Eagles
The PDP gubernatorial aspirant in oyo state Engr Seyi Makinde has explained why he had to be in Russia to play a supportive role for the Super Eagles.
In a statement issued by the Seyi Makinde organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the flagbearer said his love of country and sports development in Nigeria was enough incentive for his physical presence in Russia in spite of his tight schedule.
Makinde urges the players to do everything possible to qualify for the next round.
He said he always has sleepless nights anytime the Shooting Stars are not doing well and he is still bitter that his childhood club could be allowed to be relegated together with the Crown football Club of Ogbomoso.
He promised that the two clubs will play continental competitions in the next three years.
