Senator Fatimat Olufunke Raji Rasaki has joined millions of good people of Ekiti State both within and in the diaspora to congratulate all the elected members of the State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the last weekend, March 18th election, saying the overwhelming victory is a proof of good governance of the Executive Governor, His Excellency Mr. Abiodun Abayomi Oyebamiji.
Sen. Rasaki in a statement personally signed and made available to the newsmen described the victory as a landslide that has never happened before in the history of Ekiti State.
She said the people openly exercised their power through the ballots adding that the gallantry and hardworking governor made the victory a possibility, “power truly belong to the people and if one governs well it will be given freely by the people without coercion. These few months of Oyebanji’s administration in the State has been encouraging”.
Senator Raji Rasaki assured that Ekiti State will continue to enjoy dividend of democracy which will be devoid of partisan politics, groups, religious and selective processes but an holistic and outstanding approach where all and sundry will have a delish of development.
She further said, “It is no longer news to say that Governor Oyebanji dividend of democracy cut across the 16 local governments in Ekiti State and the pointer to that fact has been shown with the newly released State Assembly results, where our party the APC, won 23 seats out of the 26 seats in the Assembly.
“All we all need to do is to throw our weight behind our dear governor and continue to be good citizens of our country. With His Excellency, Governor Oyebanji, Ekiti State is in the era of greatness and I will also enjoin you all to also pray for this administration to succeed, because the success of Oyebanji is the success of Ekiti people”.
Senator Raji-Rasaki however urged the newly elected members of the House of Assembly to remain committed to the course of renewed hope of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Senator Kassim Shettima, saying as team player, better days are coming.
