A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Oyo state Hon Akinwale Akinwole has said that the party will be stronger and better positioned to win subsequent elections in the the state and Nigeria at large.
He said this in a chat with journalist after meeting and with party leaders and stakeholders in Ogbomoso on Saturday
The former secretary of Ogbomoso North Local Government had aerlier visited, Hon Temilola Adibi, Mulikat Akande Adeola, Dr Saka Balogun, Hon Felix Akande, Alhaji Rasaq Gbadegesin, Gen Braimoh yusuf rtd, Hon Ibrahim Ajagbe(Toskay) and others.
Akinwole who defected into the party few days ago said the laudable achievements of Engineer Seyi Makinde, the executive Governor of the state and his style of governance is a key factor that would enhance electoral victory
He maintained that for the populist style of Makinde’s administration is having direct impact on the masses and people are happy.
While urging aggrieved party leaders and members to bury their hatchet and work for unity and progress of the party, Hon Akinwole said ” our pride and strength lies in our unity and I am optimistic that PDP stands a better chance in subsequent election.
While speaking on his ambition, Wolekanle said “Yes I am ambitious, but I am not desperate about it, before i joined politics i have been contributing my own quota to the development of my society and assisting people in my own little way so politics to me is not a do or die affairs for me, my interest in politics is to increase the volume of what I have been doing, serve my people, help the needy and make our society a better place to live through and quality representation in government.
The ogbomoso born philanthropist is the Chief Executive Officer of Black Edge Limited, Chief promoter of Ogbomoso Ajilete carnival Concepts, Founder Ogbomoso United Football Club and Director Olusanmi Akinwale Foundation.
