The maiden edition of Wolekanle Under-15 football Competition sponsored by Hon Akinwale Akinwole will kick off today in Ogbomoso
16 teams will participate in the competition which was put in place to discover and promotes young talents in the soccer game
Wolekanle an ogbomoso born entrepreneur and hotelier is the propietor of Ogbomso United football club, and initiator of Ogbomoso Ajilete Carnival Concept an annual event to showcase socio-cultural heritage, promote young talents in the entertainment industry and promote unity among Ogbomoso youths
Speaking with Journalists about the competition,the chairman local organizing committee Mr Ismail shittu
said the competition will kick off at Ogbomoso Baptist High School football field.
He commended Hon Akinwale for his continuous passion and concerns for youth development
Shittu who is the General Manager Ogbomoso United Football Club described Wolekanle as a man whose focus centers around bringing out the best in the youths and prayed that as he continues giving the youths platforms to be the best they can be, may God in His mercy continue to prosper him in return.
“As we all know that there is no competition that costs nothing, what amazes me is that at every point in time occasion calls for help, Hon. Wolekanle is ever ready to give his quota which is why today the talent hunt search is coming to life”

Aside from football, his quota on education support is also massive and that is why we are praying for more of God’s grace upon him because with the way he goes about doing things, in no distant time Ogbomoso will produce great soccer stars as this competition we are starting today will launch them to the world”
