Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, Ogbomoso-born entrepreneur and politician has described the demise of Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alli Okunmade 11, the Olubadan of Ibadanland as a painful exit of a great legend and colossus.

Wolekanle as he is fondly called in a condolence message personally signed by him said the highly revered monarch lived an impactful and meaningful life and would be remembered for his immense contributions to humanity, advancement of Ibadan city, Oyo state, and Nigeria at large.

According to the Chairman of Ogbomoso United Football Club, Oba Balogun was a king of refreshing candor, a colossus whose memory will continue to linger as the one who came, saw, and conquered.

“He was a king who believed in fairness, equity, and love. He was accessible, accommodating, and friendly.
