The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, has commended the successful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward and local congresses across the state.
Wolekanle, who described the exercise as peaceful and well-coordinated, applauded party leaders, stakeholders, and delegates for demonstrating maturity and commitment to democratic values.
He congratulated the newly elected executives at various levels, urging them to see their emergence as a call to service. According to him, the focus should be on promoting unity, strengthening internal cohesion, and advancing the ideology of the PDP as a people-centered party.
“The smooth conduct of our congresses is a clear signal that PDP remains a party of order, discipline, and vision. I call on the new executives to work with dedication, embrace inclusiveness, and build on the legacy of our great party,” he said.
Wolekanle further reiterated his belief that the PDP, under Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership, would continue to deliver good governance in Oyo State, stressing that only a united front could guarantee the party’s sustained dominance.
