Wolekanle Donates Bus, Solar Powered Street Light to Blind Centre Ogbomoso

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo state Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole has donated a Toyota Hiace bus and Solar powered street light to the Special Basic school better known as Blind Centre in Ogbomoso.

 

The donation was in fulfillment of the promises made while seeking election as PDP candidate for the Oyo North Senatorial district.

Presenting the bus at the school premises on Friday, the Bashorun Amuludun of Orile Igbon Kingdom said he was impressed by the commitment of members of the community towards his election.

” Though I was not declared the winner of the election, but the result from Blind Centre is one of the best during the election which implies that you voted for me massively and I am grateful to appreciate and fulfill my promises.

 

Apart from the bus, I have donated Solar lights and cash promises to the community and I will add more solar street lights very soon. ” I am always happy to give back to the school because I am also a product of Adeniran Memorial Grammar School.

He added that I have raised the issue of perimeter fencing which you requested with the Governor and I can assure you that the fence which was demolished during the construction of the road will be fixed soon.

The immediate past Director General of Oyo State Signage Agency, Hon Temilola Adibi, in his remark, commended Hon Akinwole for the gesture. ” This has further confirmed Hon Akinwole as a worthy ambassador of Ogbomoso and a person with a genuine interest in advancing the course of the less privileged in society.

Also, the PDP chairman in Ogbomoso North, Hon. Gorge Ogunlade said Wolekanle is one of the prides of the party in Oyo state and expressed optimism that the senate mandate will be restored soon.

Hon. Ismail Adegoke a leading Chairmanship Aspirant in Ogbomoso North also donated a sum of N50,000 to the school for the blind.

Agunbiade who spoke on behalf of the blind Centre said Hon. Wolekanle has proved that he is a man of honour because he is the first to make substantial promises and fulfilled them even when he did not win the election ” This will go a long way in aiding our stay on the campus and movement around, we are already enjoying the solar street light, and we will appreciate more, we pray that God will take you to that enviable position which your heart desires.

Hon. Akinwole was accompanied to the presentation ceremony by his wife Mrs. Bisola Akinwale, Hon Adijat Aremu Rainbow, the Chairperson of Ogbomoso Central LCDA, Hon Gbile Adeomi, Prince Bayo Owolabi, Hon Abduljeleel Olawale Ajibola, members of Wolekanle Vanguard and others.
