Findings by a group of researchers and political analysts has said pendulum of the governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday March 11th may not swing in the direction of the All Progressives Congress APC
APC has highest number of vote cast during the presidential and national assembly election with 3 Senators and eight house of reps seat .
Findings by Field Action Team, (FAT),revealed that Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic party stand a better chance of retaining the governorship seat.
A field report by FAT obtained by our reporter indicated that Yoruba agenda and activities of the G5 is responsible for why PDP government loss many National Assembly seat in Oyo during the presidential and National Assembly election because many people that casted their vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu voted APC Candidates all through.
Although the Candidate of All Progressives Congress have intensify efforts in their campaign against the governor but that may not yield expected results as many electorates are determined to support engineer Seyi Makinde’s re-election.
Traders, Market women, Pensioners even the youths and civil servants did not hide their choice, majority of those confirmed that they voted Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last election because of the Yoruba agenda said Seyi Makinde’s re-election is the next agenda which must be fulfilled.
On sunday the labour Party in Oyo state announced the adoption of Governor Oluseyi Makinde as their guber candidate, though Mr Tawfiq Akinwale the party guber candidate kicked against the adoption but majority of the people who voted LP in the last election are supporting Governor Makinde.
FAT added that though the opposition are playing religion cards and using unverified claims to disparage the governor but it will not work because, the achievements of Makinde’s administration is overwhelming and people continuity.
In their submission, FAT said Governor Makinde will win convincingly in Ogbomoso, Oke Ogun and Ibadan while part of Oyo and Ibarapa may favour APC and Accord.
