We’ll Explore Economic Potentials of Culture, Tourism In Oyo- Hon. Ige

Oyo State Government is poised to explore the tourism industry to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Tourism and Culture, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige disclosed this on Wednesday while hosting the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ravicom Integrated Concept, Mr Rotimi Awelewa in his office.

Hon. Ige, who described Oyo State as a paragon of tourism potentialities, revealed that Governor Makinde is ready to explore the tourism industry to better the lots of the state, the stakeholders and the people of the state.

Recall that the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency recently invited applications from the investing public-private organisation/concession/BOt arrangement on some of the state’s assets which included the Cultural Centre, Agodi Gardens (Phase 2), Bower’s Tower and Trans Motel (Iseyin), among others.

Hon then noted that the Oyo State Government is ready to partner with Ravicom Integrated Concept to actualise its tourism vision for the state.

Awelewa, earlier in his speech commended the tourism vision of Governor Seyi Makinde and the appointment of Hon Ige as the Special Adviser on Tourism and Culture.

The Ravicom Integrated Concept boss also expressed his readiness to synergise with Oyo State government to ensure that the state stands tall among the comity of tourism states, not only in Nigeria but globally.
