Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state has commisserated with the sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland over the demise of their monarch, Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III.

He added that the sons and daughters of Ogbomoso will never forget him in the history of the town.

He said: “I received with shock the news of the demise of our father and Kabieyesi Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III early this morning. Having ruled for 48 years, Baba brought peace and development to the entire Ogbomoso land.

“He has developed his kingdom more than any monarch has done in the South west. We will never forget him in the history of Ogbomoso land.”

Open Salawu who is also the Babalaje of Ogbomosoland said Nigeria has lost a brilliant, magnificent and thorough bred business mogul.

He described the passage of the monarch as a rude shock adding that he has left a great vacuum among the traditional rulers in Yorubaland.

He prayed that Almighty Allah grant him Aljanat Firdaus.
