Iware,balogun Maami community of Federal Government to support in rebuilding their lost properties to rainstorm.
A rainstorm had last week Friday destroyed about 300 houses leaving one dead and many injured.
The lawmaker disclosed this while speaking with journalist after officials of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA visited the communities
Hon Odebunmi said the visit was to ascertain the level of damages so as to know where to come in as soon as possible.
The All Progressives Congress APC who is also the Chairman House of Reps committee on Information, National Orientiation, Ethics and Values had on Saturday foot the hospital bill of some of the injured persons and support some with cash pending the time when succor will come from the Federal Government.
NEMA Zonal Cordinator Lugard Bijimi who led other officials to the community said the agency will bring some relief materials to the community In line with NEMA intervention and palliative rules .
Lugard commended Hon Segun Odebunmi for his prompt intervention and informing them about the development ” Your representative at the National Assembly Hon Odebunmi informed us about this and he told us that he want quick response on this and we will do just as he said
The Secretary Oyo state Emergency management Agency OYSEMA Alhaji Lukman Aransi who was also at the scene of the incidents said the state will do something to assist the affected people .
