An urgent call has gone to the Oyo state government,from the Vigilante Group of Nigeria(VGN),Oke-Ogun zonal command,to support the security agency in combating criminal activities in the area,especially armed-robbery and kidnapping.
  The call was made by the zonal commander of the VGN for Oorelope,Irepo,and Olorunsogo,Alhaji Azeez Agoro,when he spoke to National Insight on Wednesday.
  Agoro said the agency is faced with a lot of challenges in the area of Logistics,personnel,and moral support from government.”For sometime now Oke-Ogun,has witnessing lots of robbery and kidnapping incidents,which has made it difficult for people to travel on our roads.”
  “We don’t want this trend to continue,that’s the essence we are appealing to the state government to support us so that we can stamp out criminal activities from Oke-Ogun he said.”
 ” If we are well equipped as a security outfit by the government we can perform the way the police are performing.I also want to appeal to the Federal Government to give us full recognition as a security so that VGN,can be at par with the Nigerian Police.”
 ” Several times we (VGN)have called on the Federal Government to recognise VGN,as a full fledge security outfit but government have not acceded to our demands.” He said
