A Nigerian journalist based in the United States of America, Alhaja Omolola Adiamoh has urged political class to emulate the good virtue of Hon Ademola Akeem Ige who has been using his position to impact the lives of others without discrimination.
Alhaja Adiamoh who was once an OAP at the broadcasting corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) before relocating to the United States of America stated this during her visit to the office of Hon. Ige, who is the Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism recently.
According to her, ” Hon. Akeem Ige is like a brother to me and I’ve known him more than 15 years. He is somebody who is very respectful, compassionate and keep promises. Whatever he promises to do he will definitely do it. For this people really like him.”
“When he was a council chairman, he did a lot at the local government that benefitted many people. I don’t believe in my interaction with him alone, I believe in what other people are saying about him and what people are saying about him is that he has been doing his job excellently as a politician to impact the lives of others.”
“Though it is not easy to satisfy everybody but when you have 100 people to take care of but out of the said 100 people you are able to satisfy at least 75-80 you have done well. So, Hon. Ige is a good man and responsible politician that is worthy of emulating.”
She also disclosed that when Hon. Akeem Ige featured in a personality interview programme he was invited to in her studio in new Jersey, United States of America in November 2018 while serving as Oyo State House of Assembly Minority Leader, she was impressed with all the comments made by the listeners that called in during the programme about Hon. Ige.
She therefore hinted that she was not surprised that Hon. Ige was appointed by the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde as his Special Adviser which, according to her, she believe he will use his new position like in the past for the development of Oyo State to improve the living standards of the people.
Alhaja Omolola Adiamoh also expressed her delight over the way and manner the Engr Seyi Makinde has been running the affairs of the state, especially payment of backlog of arrears of pensioners, and payment of workers salaries on or before the 25th of every month.
She equally commended the Governor for his strides in the area of infrastructural projects spreading across each geo political zone in the State, adding that Oyo indigenes in the Diaspora are very proud of his modest achievements.
She, however, advice the Governor to step up and do more in the area of insecurity as currently being experienced in some areas in the State and enjoined the people not to politicized the issues of security but rather cooperate with the government so as to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the entire citizenry in the State.
