The Alabi family of Oloyade Compound, Oke Osupa, Ogbomoso, has announced the funeral arrangements for their beloved matriarch, Madam Rebecca Kehinde Alabi (née Oyekan), who passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 95.
In a statement issued by one of her children, Mr. Tunji Alabi, the burial will be held in conjunction with a remembrance ceremony for their late father, Pa Daniel Odoje Alabi.
A Christian wake will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Oloyade Compound, near Alhaji Ramoni Akanni Lecture’s House, Adiatu Road, Ogbomoso, starting at 3:00 p.m.
The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025, at Sabo Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, beginning at 10:00 a.m., after which interment will take place at the church cemetery.
A reception will follow immediately at Yiron Civic Hall, Orogun Area, Iresaadu-Osogbo Road, Ogbomoso.
Madam Rebecca Alabi is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and community woman who touched many lives through her warmth and kindness.
