Group drumming support for the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima has taking the campaigns to the golfing circle as the coordinator of the group, Otunba Abimbola Davis announced to bankroll the air-ticket of the winner of the tournament.
The maiden 2022 Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF) South West Zonal Championship held over the weekend at the Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) lush green course came to an end on Saturday evening where Joyce Nule of Port Harcourt Golf Club emerged the Champion.
Valuable souvenirs that carry Senator Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaigns materials were freely shared by the group to almost 200 golfers that came from many notable golf clubs in Nigeria, including some foreigners that came to participate from Kenya, Uganda and South Africa.
Otunba Davis whose firm, Books and Sports is also one of the major sponsors of the event revealed while making speech during the dinner and gifts presentations that golfing family is an essential quarter that cannot be neglected by any reasonable politician that is aspiring to connect with serious minds, owing to the rich backgrounds of an average golfers in Nigeria.
“We shall be donating a return air ticket to the winner of this tournament Joyce Nule back to her base in Port Harcourt Rivers State. We’re doing this as the group propagating the presidential ambition of Senator Bola Tinubu come 2023 to extend this awareness to the golfing circle”, said Otunba Davis.
