Tems Takes Music Break Over Vocal Cord Illness

Nigeria’s fast rising star, Temilade Openiyi better known as TEMS has announced that she will take a break from music has she has been diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis (Vocal Cord Illness).

This was disclosed in a statement released on her Instagram page, where she identified that she will take time to protect what is left of her voice.

The statement reads”

It breaks my heart to say this, but there’s no other option for me. I’m not feeling good at the moment

“After my last performance i was diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis and i have to take some time off to protect what is left of my voice.”

“On the Doctor’s orders, i have to postpone the two shows this week, the Birmingham show on the 15th and the first London show on the 17th July”

The Singer however appealed to his fans for the inconveniences she might have caused them, urging them she will be back stronger.

She said,

“I’m so sorry for the inconveniences, but i promise to be back better than ever by the Grace of God. Then I’ll give you the best show ever.”
