It was an atmosphere of grief, tears, and lamentation on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, as fast-rising skitmaker and comedian, Raji AbdulSamad Adetola, popularly known as Sanku Comedy, was laid to rest in Osogbo, Osun State.
The 26-year-old entertainer, who died in a ghastly auto crash along the Oyo–Ogbomoso Road on Monday, September 1, was buried at a Muslim cemetery in Osogbo, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Janazah prayer and interment drew a large crowd of family members, friends, colleagues, and fans, many of whom wept uncontrollably as they paid their last respects.
Videos from the solemn event showed mourners crying, screaming, and struggling to come to terms with the sudden demise of the young content creator whose comedy skits had earned him a fast-growing fan base.
Sanku was reportedly traveling with four friends from Lagos to Ilorin when their vehicle veered off the road around Oolo axis of the Oyo–Ogbomoso Expressway and plunged into a ditch. He was confirmed dead shortly after the crash, while others sustained injuries.
His passing has sent shockwaves across social media, with fans, colleagues, and fellow entertainers pouring out tributes and prayers for his soul.
