The leadership of the Super Eagles Supporters Club has condoled with the families of late Jide Fashikun and members of the sports writing
family in the country over the passing away of the publisher of Gong News Medium, and while expressing shock over the death of the mother of Al Nassr FC forward, Ahmed Musa, Mrs. Sarah Moses

The body expressed its commiseration in a letter signed by its national Chairman, Prince Vincent Okumagba, and made available to sporting press where they prayed God to grant the family of the veteran journalist fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Supporters described Fashikun as a man who has good dream for
Nigeria sports, which he demonstrated through his Nigerian Project
that he pursued until he breathed his last.
The Family and extended family members, sports family in Kwara State,
colleagues and well-wishers during the week gathered for a candlelight
procession and prayer session, to pay respect to the late sports journalist and administrator, as the supporters pledged to be part of plans to give Fashikun a befitting burial.
The body also expressed shock over the sudden death of the deputy captain of the Super Eagles’ mother, Mrs. Sarah Moses who died at the early hours of Thursday 24th January.
The supporters described Ahmed Musa as one of the most dedicated member of the Super Eagles, with numerous achievements with the team, judging from his contributions with the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in 2013, thereby shared in the grief he would experienced from the sudden death of his beloved mum.
“He’s the Nigeria’s highest scorer at the FIFA World Cup having scored four goals in each of the last two finals (2014 and 2018), such good fellow thereby deserved every support especially during this time that
is mourning his loved one”, the statement reads.
