SUBEB Commissioner Lauds Makinde Over list of Commissioner Nominees, PMS Success

The Commissioner, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Honourable Oluwaseun Oyewo has lauded the move and prompt action of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde over the names of seven commissioner nominees he submitted to the state House of Assembly last Thursday.

Hon Oyewo also commended the synergy between the governor and Otunba Seye Famojuro in finding a lasting peace to the Park Management System (PMS) in the state.

Hon. Oyewo in a statement described the move of governor Makinde in all of these as very pragmatic and laudable saying, the development will no doubt contribute meaningfully to the developmental agendas of the governor in his second term.

He said the strides of the governor since he assumed office in 2019 has been very remarkable with so much human and physical achievements across the state adding that the pace at which governor Makinde is working is highly commendable.

According to him, the governor has demonstrated high leadership spirit and quality by swinging into action to present names of the commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly.

Hon. Oyewo recalled that this was happening less than a month the governor returned to office as the duly elected governor of the state in an unprecedented victory he recorded at the March 18, 2023 governorship election.

The list of 7 new commissioners which was submitted to the House of Assembly by Governor Makinde contained the names of six former commissioners and one new person.

The commissioner-nominees are Mr Adeniyi Adebisi, Mr Akinola Ojo, Prof Musibau Babatunde, Professor Daud Sangodoyin, Mr Seun Ashamu, Alhaja Fausat Joke Sanni and Mrs Toyin Balogun.

Hon. Oyewo while commending the synergy between governor Makinde and Otunba Seye Famojuro on the peace and success achieved on the Park Management System in the state said the development will further foster and enhance unprecedented peace and progress in the sector.

“I commend the synergy and understanding between the governor and Otunba Famojuro on the peace achieved in the transport sector in the state. The development no doubt will go along way fostering peace in the sector.

Also, the achievement will continue to place the governor in good leadership record in the state while the PMS members will continue to operate in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Hon. Oyewo while commending Otunba Famojuro for his humanitarian services in the state Congratulated him for the new chieftaincy title of Balogun Bobajiroro of orilegbon kingdom bestowed on him.

He prayed God Almighty to bless him with more strength and wisdom in the discharge of his creative and humanitarian services in the state and beyond.

He urged Engr.Makinde to continue to sustain his good legacies with more laudable projects such that will make the state a model for others in the country and the world at large.
