Hon Akinwale Akinwole, Ogbomoso born entrepreneur and politician has described the demise of Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111 as a painful exit of a great legend and colossus.
Akinwole in a condolence message personally signed by him said, Baba lived an impactful and meaningful life and he would be remembered for his immense contributions to humanity, advancement of Ogbomoso, Yorubaland, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
According to the chairman Ogbomoso United Football Club, Baba was a king of refreshing candour, a colossus whose memory will continue to linger for as the one who came, saw and conquered.
“Right from my childhood days i have known him to be an upright monarch,a king who believed in fairness, equity and love. He was accessible, accommodating and friendly .
The initiator of Ajilete Carnival Concept added that Baba was billed to play a significant role during the Ajilete Carnival scheduled to hold on the 26th December and he has not just offered his blessings, he promised to be there as the Royal Host for the event, but who are we to query God for taking him away from us at this crucial moment when his wise counsel, blessings and prayers are needed.
While condoling with the entire family, the House of Representatives Aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), commiserates with the entire indigenes of Ogbomoso and pray for the repose of his soul and that Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest.
