
The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege 111, has reaffirmed the longstanding bond between Ogbomoso and Zaria during a visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, the Emir of Zazzau, in Zaria.
During the visit, which highlighted the deep historical connections between the two cities, the Emir warmly received Oba Olaoye, emphasizing the remarkable contributions of Ogbomoso indigenes to Zaria’s development.
“Ogbomoso people have been here for over 100 years. They are not just visitors; they are an integral part of Zaria. They belong to every committee and play vital roles in our community. We see them as our own, and we are grateful for their positive impact,” the Emir stated.
Oba Olaoye also engaged with Ogbomoso sons and daughters residing in Zaria, commending their efforts in education, business, governance, and community development. He acknowledged their role in fostering the strong ties between the two cities and encouraged continued collaboration.
The visit marks a renewed commitment to strengthening relations between Ogbomoso and Zaria, with Oba Olaoye pledging to deepen cooperation and unity for mutual growth and development.
