The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, on Monday met with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, in Abuja to discuss key developmental issues concerning Ogbomosoland.

During the meeting, the monarch who was accompanied by a retired Permanent Secretary to the Government at Secretary General Office,Sir Olusegun Adekunle and others presented a 25-year development vision aimed at transforming Ogbomosoland into a model city.

According to the monarch in a post on his Facebook page, Senator Akume expressed keen interest in the initiative and explored possible areas of collaboration between the Federal Government and the Ogbomoso community to actualize the ambitious plan.

The 25-year development vision outlines a comprehensive strategy to enhance infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic growth in Ogbomosoland.

It aims to position the town as a hub for investment and industrial development while preserving its rich cultural heritage. Key focus areas include road network expansion, improved public utilities, and initiatives to boost job creation through entrepreneurship and technological advancement.

The plan also emphasizes sustainable development practices to ensure long-term benefits for residents.

Oba Olaoye’s engagement with the SGF highlights his commitment to securing strategic partnerships that will accelerate Ogbomoso’s transformation.

His discussions in Abuja signal a proactive approach to governance, seeking Federal Government backing to complement local efforts.
