Contrary to the report that Prince Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye’s name was smuggled into the lists of the aspirant for Soun of Ogbomoso from Laoye’s family, Mogaji Amos Olawale Olaoye Head of the family has said those spreading such reports are naysayers and economic with the truth.

Mogaji Olaoye who is the head of the Laoye Family in an interview with Journalists said the story is far from the truth, the opponent are coming with different versions of stories, the fact remains Prince Laoye is a member of the family and equally qualified like other members of the family to vie for the vacant stool of Soun.

According to him “We sold form, he obtained form, the money was paid into the family account, he came late and he was not the only person that obtained late form, he was screened by the committee set up by the family and when the committee could not come up with a concrete resolution on the selection process, we submitted all the contestant to the Kingmakers who screened all aspirants infact some of those who did not obtained form but signified interest were screened by the kingmakers.

The selection of Prince Ghandi as Soun of Ogbomoso is not shrouded in secrecy or imposed by government as they are projecting it all because they want dont want him to be king because of the reasons best known to them Ghandi’s selection followed due process and he did not bribed anybody or use his influence to emerge.
