Soun Commiserates with Okere of Saki on Wife’s Death

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege 111, has expressed grief over the unfortunate death of the wife of Okere of Saki-land, Oba Khalid Olabisi, Olori Waliyat Olabisi.

The death of Olori Olabisi, second wife of the Okere, was reported today, Tuesday.

In a condolence message signed by his special assistant on media and community relations, Rev’d Peter Olaleye, the Soun lamented the death was a sad occurrence that jolted the leaders and members of the Oyo state traditional council saying from various reports the deceased was very much loved by the people of Saki.

The monarch prayed that God would grant the family and the entire Saki people the fortitude to bear the loss.

“The news of Olori Waliyat Olabisi’s sudden death came to all of us in the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs as a rude shock. Olori Waliyat has been described as a good-hearted individual who is adored by Saki people for her commitment to humanitarian endeavours.

“It is our prayers that the Almighty God will comfort and strengthen Your Majesty Oba Khalid Olabisi in this trying time. We further pray that the good God will also give the entire family and the people of Saki the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
