A retired Federal Permanent Secretary and renowned legal luminary, Sir Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle, OON, KJW, has mourned the passing of Hon. Justice Afolabi Adeniran, former Chief Judge of Oyo State and President of Ogbomoso Parapo Worldwide.
Justice Adeniran, a distinguished jurist and revered community leader, died on Sunday after a brief illness. His passing has been described as a great loss to Ogbomosoland, the legal community, and the nation at large.
In a condolence message made available to the press, Sir Adekunle described the late Justice as a “selfless and illustrious man whose life and values are worthy of emulation.”
“I join the entire people of Ogbomosoland, the Soun of Ogbomoso, other traditional rulers, community leaders, members of Ogbomoso Parapo Worldwide, and our vibrant youth in mourning this great loss,” he said.
Sir Adekunle, who is also the immediate past Chairman of Ogbomoso First Group, praised Justice Adeniran for his unwavering dedication to justice, community service, and the promotion of unity among the Ogbomoso people.
He noted that the late jurist’s contributions to the legal profession, good governance, and grassroots development would remain indelible in the hearts of many.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the late elder statesman, Sir Adekunle extended heartfelt condolences to his family and all those affected by the loss, urging them to find strength and solace in the exemplary life he lived.
