The residents, had through the Community Developmental Association written a letter to express their displeasure to the attitude and manner of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company in respect to power supply in the communities.

In the letter signed by the Chairman, Engineer Rasaq Fabayo and Alhaji Ajadi Oladeji, the series to letters and dialogue with the IBEDC Management about the marginalization of our
communities in terms of poor electricity supply proved abortive as nothing has been done concerning our complaints till date.

The letter reads further “Our findings has revealed that there are over 100 Transformers on our Feeder instead of 25 which is against the regulation. In establishing our fact, and our position on this matter, we hereby attach the letter written to IBEDC and the updates on how power is being supplied to the communities on a daily basis.”

As cultured communities of Ajibode, Apete, Awotan, Araromi, Akufo, Jeje and environs) we do not want conflict before resolution is attained.

“Sir, in alleviating these challenges, we look forward to you, using your good offices to help facilitate the activation and the use of
NIPP Transformers that has long been abandoned by the Federal Government.
In the light of the above, we humbly request that you should use your good office and power vested on
you as Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria to facilitate the following
1. Provision of more Feeders in order to have stable power supply
2. Provision of more Transformers to the Communities.
3. Metering of all unmetered houses in the communities according to the Nigeria Electricity
Regulation Commission.
Stoppage of over billing otherwise known in local parlance as “Crazy Bill
5. Regularization of PHCN Meters.
