Prominent political figures, including Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) and former Senate Majority Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin, have expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Bisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. She died at the age of 42 in the United Kingdom after a brief illness.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan, Senator Alli described Bisola’s demise as a tragic and painful loss, not just for her family but for Oyo State and the nation at large.
He noted that until her passing, Bisola served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, and was widely recognized for her brilliance and contributions to public service.
“Bisola was a woman of grace, intellect, and dedication who upheld the values of excellence and service. Her sudden departure is deeply heartbreaking. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and comforts her loved ones in this difficult time,” Alli stated.
He extended his condolences to her husband, Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi, her mother, Chief (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, and the entire Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families, praying for the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Similarly, Senator Teslim Folarin, a former lawmaker and cousin to the late Governor Ajimobi, expressed his devastation over Bisola’s untimely death.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi (née Ajimobi). Her untimely death has left an unfillable void in our hearts, and I can only imagine the pain of a parent burying their child,” he said.
Folarin, who described Bisola as a dear family member, said her death was a personal loss to him and extended his sympathies to the Ajimobi family, particularly the former First Lady, Florence Ajimobi.
As tributes continue to pour in, the Ajimobi family has yet to announce funeral arrangements. However, her passing leaves a significant void in business and political circles, where she was widely respected.
