The Ajimobi family has been thrown into mourning following the death of Bisola Kola-Daisi, the first child of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

She passed away at the age of 42 after a brief illness in the United Kingdom.

The news of her death, which broke in the early hours of Thursday, March 27, 2025, has sent shockwaves through political and business circles, where she was a well-known figure.

Bisola was a prominent entrepreneur in Nigeria’s luxury retail industry and served as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading FMCG retail and wholesale chain established in 1984. She was also the founder of Florence H. Luxury boutique, carving a niche for herself in a male-dominated industry.

Married to Ibadan-born politician and bank executive Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Bisola was a devoted mother of three. Her husband, mourning her loss, described her as “a shining star” whose legacy would live on through their children.

“The world has lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children.”

Tributes have poured in from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, who remember Bisola for her vibrant personality, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her work and family.
