Revd John Adegoke Okesina Okesiji, JP is dead

Benjamin Abiodun Okesiji who dislclosed this said he died at age 91, peacefully in the loving arms of his wife, children and grandchildren today, Sunday, 5th July 2020 at his country home, Ore Oluwa House, Owode, Oyo at about 4am after some few weeks of sickness.

Revd Okesiji was born on Sunday, August 19, 1928 in Okeho, Oyo State and he was an ordained minister of the gospel who did exploits as a Baptist Pastor and made laudable contributions to the Nigerian Baptist Convention at large. He retired at First Baptist Church, Okelerin, Ogbomoso after 31 years of service in 1998.

He was married to Sarah Adegbenjo Okesiji for 65 years, the union is blessed with 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and numerous others.

Besides spending the last 21 years plus in retirement counseling and mentoring people. He was an avid person who did not take healthy living for granted. He exhibited uncommon dedication to his family, his denomination and his communities- Okeho, Oyo, Ogbomoso and Oyo State at large.

Family and friends are delighted to be associated with a great man of God in His generation who had a premonition of his departure and prepared even for his eventual departure.

The family would keep you informed about the obsequies and we would request that you keep us all in your prayers as we celebrate the life of our beloved, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
