Restriction Order: AIG Makama Warns Officers Aganst Unprofessional Conduct

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone XI Command,Osogbo, comprising Ondo, Osun and Oyo States, Bashir Makama, psc+ has warned police officers involved in enforcement of the restriction order aimed at containing the spread of the coronavirus (COVID- 19) pandemic.

According to a statement signed by CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu,Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 11 Command, the AIG gave the warning today while going round to assess level of enforcement of and compliance with the restriction order.

The police boss who visited Asejire, boundary town between Oyo and Osun among other places, directed that all persons and vehicles other than those on essential services travelling into/through the State be turned back, thereby preventing their influx into Osun State.

Pleased with the conduct of the policemen, the AIG further warned against infringement on the fundamental human rights of the citizens, while also admonishing the police officers to cooperate with persons on essential duties and other sister agencies so as to fully enforce the restriction order of the government
