Residents of Adeosun Community in Apete Ibadan raised alarm over the devastating effects of flood on  their  road which is one of the  link road between Apete and Ologuneru

They decried the deplorable condition of the road and appeal to the state government and Federal lawmakers representing their constituency to help them in fixing the road especially the bridge on Onteru river

Many of the residents are always stranded whenever there is heavy downpour due to the increasing power of the flood which overflow the bridge and make movement to the other side impossible

When our reporter visited the scene many car and motorcycle owners parked their car at the other side and risk their way through the water to get to their home while those who could not risk it either slept in the car or returned to the city

Apart from linking Apete –Ologuneru, the road also leads to the Masoleum of Lagelu, one of the people with historical relevance in Ibadan

A resident Simply identified as Gaffar told our reporter that ‘ Every year we contribute money to fix the bridge but with the development it is beyond what we can do by ourselves, the government need to be involved  and we want to use this medium to appeal to them to please come and fix the road for us to avoid loss of valuables.
