Police Rescue Kidnapped Priests in Adamawa, NDDC Aide in Bayelsa

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 66 senior officers in the Nigerian Police Force to various ranks, aiming to strengthen the force and recognize outstanding performances.

Among them, 20 officers have been elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs)

In a statement by Ani Ikechukwu, Head of Press and Public Relations, additionally, 19 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) have been promoted to the rank of Commissioners of Police.

The Commission also approved the promotion of 13 Superintendents Of Police to Chief Superintendents Of Police and 14 Deputy Superintendents Of Police to Superintendents Of Police.

All officers appeared before the Commission in Plenary, participated in examinations and interactive interviews.

The exercise was presided over by Commission Chairman DIG Hashimu Argungu, supported by DIG Taiwo Lakanu, Honourable Commissioner representing the Police in the Commission, and Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Secretary to the Commission.
