The family of the late slain member of the National Assembly Hon Olatoye Temitope Sugar has said the   information in circulation about  late Rep Member  are fake and handiworks of cowards and political enemies whose mission is to tarnish the credibility of the late lawmaker.

They also said those arrested by the police were among the people that killed Hon Sugar.

Addressing journalists at a press conference held at Olatoye Sugar Foundation in Ibadan, the elder brother of the deceased Olajide Olatoye said the negative impression about the late Lawmaker started with the gruesome and horrific photograph published by the management of the University College Hospital Ibadan in collusion with the political enemies of the late Hon Sugar on 9th March 2019.

He said further that the attacks on Sugar are fake news and handiwork of mischief makers and political enemies of Late Hon Sugar who planned his killings just to gain cheap political advantage.

Olatoye, Popularly known as Big Daddy also denied Sugar’s involvement in Bukki Boy’s death, ” He was tried and discharged by High court in Abeokuta when they found the truth that Sugar was not around Abeokuta when Bukie Boy was killed ”

Denying content of an audio release by a lady (Folake) who claims to be Hon Sugar Landlady, Jide said ” there is no iota of truth in folake’s claim. Adding that Hon Sugar throughout his stay in Abeokuta lived in two house before he moved into his own house in the state.

Corroborating Olajide’s claim Balogun Ajasa and Mr Adewumi Akeem, friends of the late Rep member in Abeokuta said Sugar was not a violent person, he was hardworking and a responsible person who hate injustice.

Balogun said ‘ He stay in my father’s house in Abeokuta and the land on which he built his house in Abeokuta was brought from my father and the landlady was “Oya mo like e” and not Folake, I challenged that Folake to come out and tell the world if she is sure of what she is saying .

” Balogun said further that ” Sugar is hardworking and nice, he is always committed to any course that he believes in, we use to go to farm together, anytime he comes back from school he was always at my workshop so i don’t know where people got the information spreading about him”.

The family however commended the police commissioner in Oyo state and the Deputy Inspector General of Police and other people involved in the case for their prompt action and urge them to ensure justice prevails.

He alleged that those in police net are the real killers of his brother

Hon Wole Akinleye, Secretary ,Olatoye Sugar Foundation OSF who also speak at the conference said ” Already it is sad that his life was take in cold blood but spreading fake information about him after his demise is inhuman.
