Police nabs sibling with 22 stolen motorcycles

Police in Oyo state have arrestee two brothers who allegedly specialize in killing commercial motorcyclistsand stealing their motorcycles on transit in Oyo, Ogun, and Osun states

The suspects whose names were Taiwo and Tosin are currently being detained by men of the State Police Command at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Dugbe, Ibadan office.

They were said to be based in Mowe, in Ogun State where they operate across the three South West states.

A police source told our reporter that the suspects who were currently helping the police in investigation had confessed to the crime.

Three bodies of Okada riders were discovered along Apata-Bakatari road within one week, while their assailants made away with their commercial motorcycles.

There were also reports of attacks on commercial motorcycles’ operators and stealing of motorcycles in Ibadan metropolis and other parts of the state.

After thorough investigation, men of the Omi-Adio, Ibadan Police Division last week arrested the two suspects and recovered 22 motorcycles from them.

Scores of victims of the crime, it was learnt have continued to besiege the Omi-Adio Police Division and SARS with relevant documents to claim their stolen motorcycles.
