The Public Relation Officer of Oyo State Park Management System, Hon Emiola Jelili has assured that the administration of Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa will continue to fulfill and sustain the promise of providing open, transparent and peaceful leadership for the PMS in the the state.
Hon Emiola who addressed journalists in Ibadan on Wednesday on reports which filtered the media a few days ago alleging the PMS Chairman of acquiring new houses at Bodija and that the chairman sidelined Ejiogbe from participating in the running of the present administration.
He described the report as the figment of the writer’s imagination.
Hon Emiola added that a the allegations were baseless, unfounded and lacks logic.
“The purpose of this press briefing is to clear the air on various fake reports that were sponsored by some aggrieved, unscrupulous and self serving individuals who had outlived their relevance in the transportation sector.
“Their intent which has failed from the outset was to incite the media against our prudent, transparent and God fearing leader, Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa.
“Let’s set the record straight, Alhaji Tomiwa doesn’t touch PMS money, he is not the financial secretary, he is not the Treasurer and he is not the auditor. How come he was alleged to have embezzled PMS money?
“Alhaji Tommy had been tested in the past and that’s why Governor Seyi Makinde trusted him and made him the chairman of the reformed and expanded Park Management System.
” Are people of the state not enjoying his leadership? When was the last time you heard about violence, bloodbath, thuggery and act of brigandage in any parks in Ibadan and other zones?
“Tommy has restored peace and tranquility into the various parks and we have aligned with the Sustainable Traffic Management of Governor Seyi Makinde.
“On the issue of Ejiogbe, Governor Seyi Makinde appointed him as First Vice-Chairman, Alhaji never intimidated him nor any other state official of PMS, he is in the best position to speak on why he chose to stay away.
“We are happy with the leadership of Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa and the State Government appreciates his efforts and his inclusive act.”
