The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has condemned the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives, ordering a massive deployment of security personnel and assets to restore peace and apprehend those responsible.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, the IGP expressed deep sympathy with the Plateau State Government and residents, particularly families affected by the tragic incident in the Angwan Rukuba community.
As part of immediate response measures, the police chief had earlier deployed the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, DIG Umar Shehu Nadada, to the state.

The move, according to the IGP, is aimed at tackling the current security challenges and preventing further breakdown of law and order.
IGP Disu assured that sustained operations would continue until normalcy is fully restored, directing all operational commanders to maintain visible policing and deepen engagement with vulnerable communities.
He also urged residents to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding, while encouraging them to support security agencies by reporting suspicious activities promptly.
