The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday led a delegation to the palace of the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, on a courtesy visit.
Obi was accompanied by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, Lagos Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and Segun Adebanjo.

The team also visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo after their meeting with the monarch.
Speaking after the visits, Obi in a post on his x page said the engagements provided an opportunity to discuss the state of the nation and the need to foster unity, love, fairness, and justice among Nigerians.
He stressed that the interactions reinforced his conviction that the country’s challenges could be addressed by assembling a competent team with the capacity, compassion, and commitment to build a new Nigeria.
“The meetings make me believe that coming together of a competent team with capacity, compassion, and commitment can build a new Nigeria that is POssible,” Obi noted.
