PDP Wins As INEC Declares Adeleke Winner of Osun Election

Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP have been declared as winners of the just concluded Governorship election in Osun by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

INEC’s Chief Returning Officer for the state Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos who announced the result Sunday Morning said the PDP candidate scored 403,371 votes to emerge victorious.

The runner-up was the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 375,027 votes.

Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe while declaring adeleke said I hereby declare that Ademola Adeleke “having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby declared the winner and he is returned elected,” said.

PDP  won in 17 out of 30 LGAs in the state of Osun as announced by INEC.
