Oyo State Priimary Health Care Board as disclosed its readiness to immune all children between 9 months and five years in Oyo state with measles vaccines in other to prevent spread of the diseases in the state.
 Deputy State Health Educator, Mrs. Oladele Folasade who drop the hint at the media orientation program held in Ibadan said the exercise will be carried out in  956 designated centre across the state.
Oladele said the program which is segmented into two phase is schedule to hold between 8th and 20th of march 2018.
 According to her, the first phase will hold in 17 local governments between 8th and 13th while the second phase will hold in 16 local government between  15 and 20th of the month.
While ensuring proper monitoring, oladele said unlike other routine vaccination, where adhoc  staff are engaged, only licensed health workers will administer vaccines on the children
 In her remark, Hajia  Risikat Giwa, Communication for Development, Measles Vaccination  Consultant , UNICEF  said the issue of security challenges have been addressed in seven local government where activities of the herdsmen poses a threat to the people.
 She however urged the media to be partners in progress by ensuring  proper dissemination of information and monitoring of the activities till the end of the program.
The Executive Secretary of the board Dr Lanre Abass, who was represented by  Dr Olarinde Olaoye at the orientation program  calls for corporation of the parents, caregivers and others to  assist in ensuring total success during the period .
