In a significant development, the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board has announced that it is ready to complete the recruitment process of healthcare workers that commenced in 2021.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Muyideen Olatunji, who revealed the details said the Board is in the process of concluding the recruitment of over 3,000 healthcare workers to be deployed across the primary health care facilities in the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.
He stated that the recruitment process was initiated in 2021, with a total of 16,035 people applying for various positions.
“We are committed to strengthening the primary health care system in Oyo State, and the recruitment of qualified healthcare workers is a crucial step in this direction,” said Dr. Olatunji. “The Board has been working diligently to ensure a transparent and fair recruitment process, and we are now ready to move to the next stage.”
Applicants who had applied for the positions in 2021 are advised to visit the official website of the Oyo State Government, www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, and click on the PHC job portal. This portal is set to open within the next week, and applicants can check the status of their applications.
The next stage of the recruitment process will involve a Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination for the successful applicants. Those who meet the cut-off mark in the CBT will then be invited for interviews, which will be the final stage of the recruitment process.
“We understand the importance of having a strong and capable primary health care workforce, and we are dedicated to ensuring that the best candidates are selected for these critical roles,” added Dr. Olatunji.
