Chief Dayo Ogungbenro, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state has enjoin all party stakeholders and members to work in unison for the progress of the party
He said this while addressing party faithfuls at the stakeholders meeting held in Oriire local government area of Oyo state
Ogungbenro said the party will continue to wax stronger and better if all Party members can work together as a team and place the party interest above personal interest and ambition
The chairman who express optimism that PDP will retain the party beyond 2023 said ‘ Engineer Makinde led government has made things easy for the party with his unprecedented achievements in the state and all that is required of us as a party is to work and ensure continuity of the PDP government at both state and federal level
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Segun Ogunwuyi, who also double as the chief host in his remark described PDP leadership in Oyo State under Hon Ogungbenro as unique by all ramifications with the transparent manner the party is being run.
The party PRO Engineer Akeem Olatunji said the visit to Ogbomoso Zone is to appreciate the people for their support and continue to encourage them not to relent in their support for the PDP in the state
” We will be here for five days and during our stay we are going to meet all the stakeholders, reconcile aggrieved members discuss issues bothering on the development of the Party.
A house of Reps Hopeful Hon Akinwole Akinwale, Wolekanle in a chat with National Insight described the move by the state exco of the party as a great move which will engender peace and progress of the party
“Obviously Chief Dayo Ogungbenro led executives have further demonstrated their genuine interest in the moving the party forward and from all indications members are ready to cooperate with them, already their leadership style coupled with Engineer Seyi Makinde’s achievements is attracting more members of the opposition to the party and by God’s Grace, PDP will be retain Oyo state even beyond 2023.”he added
