State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Michael Adaralewa, has assured the state residents of adequate security of lives and property this year.
The Commandant gave the assurance on today during an interview with some journalists at the command headquarters at Agodi , Ibadan.
Speaking during the interview, Commandant Adaralewa said that the state was relatively peaceful compared to what is happening across the country, as the level of crime had reduced drastically due to efforts of NSCDC and sister agencies in the state.
Adaralewa urged Oba BALOGUN ,to follow in the worthy and commendable footsteps of his predecessors by working diligently for peace,Security and development in Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria.
However, he warned those fomenting troubles,those engaged in thuggery, crime and criminalities across the State to desist from such act or vacate oyo state, as the Command would deal with anyone attempting to breach the peace of the state.
He assured the new Olubadan of his full support and cooperation “as he strives to lead our people forward and contribute meaningfully to the development of his domain, Oyo State and the nation’’.
He prayed that Almighty God would grant Oba(Sen)Dr Moshood Olalekan Ishola Balogun long life, good health and the wisdom for a successful reign.
