Oyo State Commandant of NSCDC Iskilu Akinsanya has urged Nigerians to continue to pray and protect ourselves, embrace peace in all ramification as a way to uphold the unity of the country as Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-el Kabir celebration.

He made the call today at the Command’s State Headquarters, Agodi Ibadan during the visit of Muslim Community of Oyo State, Nigeria (MUSCONS) to his Office.

Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya enjoined the Muslim faithfuls to celebrate moderately and take responsibility against the spread of corona virus (covid 19) through the use of face mask, personal Hygiene and observant of physical and social distancing.

Oyo State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya have called on all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and personnel of the Corps to beef up security in their vicinity before, during and after the festive period as Muslims will be celebrating this year Eid-el Kabir.

Meanwhile, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya has directed the Disaster Management Unit to always have the Command ambulance and disaster personnel on highways for rescue during the celebration, the Agro Rangers Squad and the Counter Terrorist Unit have also been deployed to all the nooks and crannies of the State to prevent crime and criminality during the Salah Festival.

Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya appealed to parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and wards. He advised Nigerians to be law abiding and shun any act of lawlessness and violence during the celebration, also to be conscious of their environment and remain vigilant at all times.

Alhaji Kunle Sani, Chairman of Muslim Community of Oyo State appreciate the State Commandant and NSCDC Personnel in Oyo State for the good job they are doing in protection of lives and properties in the State and also call on Muslim Communities (MUSCONS) to be security conscious and assist NSCDC with credible information.

The State Commandant advised the people of Oyo State to give useful information to nip crime in the bud in the State by call the Command’s Control room numbers 09070473188 and 09055533303.
