…Prays for Tinubu, Alli, Other APC Candidates Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Oyo State Muslim Political Unity Forum for Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS) has mobilised more than 10,000 Muslims from different geopolitical zones of the state for a strategic political and unity gathering held at Ilaji Resort.
The gathering, hosted by the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, attracted Muslim leaders, clerics, community representatives and political supporters from across Oyo State.
The event focused on unity, peaceful coexistence and collective responsibility, with participants urged to promote peace and contribute positively to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria.
Speaking at the gathering, the Coordinator of the forum and Chief Imam of Anfani Community Central Mosque, Sheikh Saheed Ayoola Gbadamosi, stressed the importance of unity among Muslims and constructive political engagement.
Gbadamosi urged members of the Muslim community to embrace understanding and cooperation, noting that the strength of any community depends largely on its ability to work together despite differences.
The cleric subsequently led prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
The prayers sought divine guidance, wisdom, protection and success for the President and other APC candidates, as well as peace, stability and progress for Nigeria.
Receiving the participants, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi expressed appreciation to the Muslim community for the large turnout, describing it as a demonstration of unity and collective purpose.
Sanusi reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, community development and greater collaboration among the people of Oyo State.
The gathering also resolved to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and engagement across the state’s geopolitical zones while encouraging members to promote peace and responsible political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The forum said it would sustain its mobilisation through constructive engagement with Muslim communities and other stakeholders across Oyo State.
