The Oyo State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has sealed Casta De Lounge, located along Akala Expressway in Ibadan, for allegedly dumping waste indiscriminately on the highway median and failing to patronize the government-assigned waste collector.
This action comes as part of the ministry’s intensified enforcement efforts following the recent declaration of a state of emergency on indiscriminate refuse dumping, street trading, and environmental pollution in the state.

According to the ministry, an investigation revealed multiple environmental infractions by the lounge, leading to its closure.
The ministry is working closely with the Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA) to ensure strict compliance with environmental, traffic, and other related laws across the state.
